^{everyone needs a home, and this is where the homes of the residents of avon by the sea, new jersey, can be found. most of the homes are fairly old, but there are a few modernized homes around. it's not uncommon to see homes over fifty years old here in avon.}

^{avon pavilion is ocean avenue's boardwalk. it runs along avon's beach, which benches along the edges. you can find small shops up here - for beach equipment, like snorkeling gear and boogie boards. there's also a snack bar that has everything from french fries to soft serve ice cream.}

^{clementine's diner is the only diner located in avon. clementine is the elderly woman whom the diner was named after many years ago. you can find her in the far booth in the restaurant, she often comes for dinner and she likes to see how well clementine's is doing. her husband named the restaurant after her when they were wed, and since he passed away she has made it her duty to keep it going.}

^{the columns is an older beach home turned into a restaurant. everyone loves a restaurant on the shore, especially one so close you can hear the waves crashing, the children laughing, the seagulls cooing and the salty scent of the sea always lingering around your noses. the columns is a fairly nice restaurant, with a porch running all along the house. it may be difficult to get a table out on the deck, but it's worth the experience.}

^{country by the sea is an interesting shop. it isn't a pottery barn and it doesn't have all the latest fashions in furniture and home furnishings, but it has older things that still look beautiful in a home, especially one in avon - the furnishings for sale go perfectly with all of the homes in avon, most of which are fifty years old at the least.}

^{the macaroon shop is one of avon's only bakeries. of course, there's starbucks and all that, but what are those generic coffee cakes worth? the macaroon shop has been run by the same family for over a hundred years now, and they're proud of it.}

^{they're everywhere, you can't not try starbucks. there's probably been at least one in whatever town you've been in, possibly more. avon has it's own, so if you're looking for that delicious, generic coffee or latte, you can get it here.}

^{the world of music boxes. it's not something you find in every town, that's for sure. but it's avon's very own. it's a store of almost entirely music boxes. small ones, large ones. glass ones, cinderella ones. they could be antiques or they could be ones you'd give to you daughter or niece. they play all different kinds of tunes, and here at world of music boxes, you can have them custom-made, or changed, to fit your needs.}

^{stop and shop has more or less been taken over by hyvee over the last ten years, but they are still all over the east coast, including avon. avon by the sea doesn't have a hyvee, but they do have a local pharmacy and stop and shop. of course, stop and shop has everything you'd need from hyvee, and a pharmacy, so why bother building a hyvee in this little town?}
